PERRY — Kathy Cairns Hendershott will perform a special summer piano concert July 29 at the Arts Council of Wyoming County, 31 South Main St.
The concert starts at 7 p.m., with doors opening a half-hour earlier.
Tickets are $25 (or pay what you can) and are available for purchase at the gallery, on the ACWC website, www.artswyco.org, or by calling (585) 237-3517.
Perry native and current assistant conductor with New York’s Metropolitan Opera Dan Saunders will introduce Hendershott.
At the July 29 performance, she will play Bach, Brahms, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Turina and others.
Hendershott taught piano privately for 25 years but is now a full-time handweaver. She studied piano with Iris Molinari during middle and high school and then with Patricia Hanson at Eastman School of Music.
She lives in Orangeville with her husband, Chuck.
